This is what I got from alldatadiy.com for my 1998 Toyota Sienna XLE (1MZFE 3.0L V-6 - same engine for Solara, Camry, Avalon)
Shown is LH cylinder head
Cylinder #2 is on the left
Cylinder #4 is on the middle
Cylinder #6 is on the right

RH Cylinder head (firewall side)
Cylinder #1 is on the left
Cylinder #3 is on the middle
Cylinder #5 is on the right

There are only 3 igniter coils and are all in LH cylinder head . One coil supports two cylinders. Coil at #2 for 1/2, coil @ #4 for 3/4, coil at #6 for 5/6. Firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6

Newbie here. Resurrecting an old thread....are you sure about the coil to cylinder wiring??

I could have sworn #4 coil went to #1 cylinder.

Can someone clear this up. Can anyone with a shop manual confirm?

Thanks!!!
David

EDIT:
Forgot to add....if it is 4-1 same coil then it appears you have a faulty coil pack.
