I searched I searched.

I have a 2000 avalon and are the steps the same for the camry to disable daytime running lights? Just unplug the little box and you're done?

Any particular reason you want to disable your DRLs? It helps, especially because a lot of people don't turn on their headlights in the blinding morning sun - which means it's hard to see oncoming traffic sometimes. I like the DRLs.. Though lately I've been seeing some '05 Camrys and they don't have DRLs

On the newer Camry (not sure what year it started) you can simply move the headlamp switch to a setting where the DRL's are disabled.

To the OP I will send what I have ( only the TSB )

Same here, I actually wish my Camry had DRLs. Got to look at some 2004/2005 Camrys and it's nice to see that there's an option to turn them off if the driver wishes to. Next car will be a Corolla, so by the time I buy they better still have DRLs!

I also don't think day time running lights look good. BUT I drive with my 3 year old daughter (My Precious Cargo) with me most of the time so it's not an option to turn them off (for her safety).

If DRLs are optional, I would take them.
Thats just imho. On my Gen3, I leave my heads on.
Besides the obvious, one upside is if you have laser speed traps in your state,
it makes getting a reading harder.
Also disabling them may be against State laws and your insurance could start beef with you on a claim, not that your insurance company would do that to you.
