Green air filter drop-in

got my shipment in yesterday from ptuning.com i ordered a Green filter from them at the beginning of the week because my stock filter is pretty dirty. a friend of mine had convinced me of getting it instead of a K&N drop-in.. i read from someone in the toyota truck forum that some of the engineers from K&N had quit because K&N wouldnt let them change the design of their filters and started their own company( greenfilterusa.com ). ive heard that Green filters provide the same air flow, are better at filtering dirt, and the wires are stronger than K&N's filters so they dont bend as easily when cleaning/handling them..

in any case, i installed the new filter today and havent felt much of a difference.. the sound of the engine is a tad bit louder but thats about it.. then again, i wasnt planning on seeing a difference with a K&N drop in either

Cool

No airfilter will give any noticeable gain against any other noticeable airfilter, so long as they're just as dirty(or clean).

Cool

Yeah it's a huge differance when the ones replacing are clogged. You reminded me to go outside and put the new K&N filter in the truck. Dad noticed it driving around this evening.

if you need stronger wires then what K&N use, then maybe you shouldnt ure clamps and pliers to clean ya air filter. filtering dust is down to the filter oiling, ifyou read the info that came with ya filter youd know that it needs to be re oiled.
