I made an accident today when I was changing my front Left Wheel (Driver side). When I lifted up car and removed the alloy wheel, it slides and droped on the floor. So what happened is that the car dropped on the rotor guard and the supporting beam.I lifted up the car right away and put the wheel back.I started the engine and checked the brake function and steering function.
I am planning to check my car on the street and the Highway to check the steering response and alignment.
Do you guys have any suggestion????
Is there any possibility of anything get bend or Loose or brake??????
Do you think my alignment toe-in and/or camber screwed up????
highly doubt anything happened if the guard didnt bend into the disks. HOWEVER the NUMBER ONE RULE to jacking ANYTHING up is to put it on jackstands befor doing ANYTHING. What if your leg was under the car?
As long as it was any part of the front suspension holding the car up and not any part of the brake system you'll be fine.

Edit: I do not think too much damage was done other then the dust cover and disk itself got dinged up a bit. If it didnt slide around you should be fine. You are just very lucky no one got hurt.
Good practice that my mech taught me long time ago was to slide the spare under the car
when working with the wheel and swapping them round as you mount.

Thank you guys for your comments.I checked my car on the higway and speed up as fast as 130 km/H. It does not pull over.thanks GOD.
I have found out that the disk cover/Guard is touching the Rotor underneath.I dont find any grinding noise when I drive. I will go to the mechanics to fix the Rotor cover.
My concern is if anything has happened to the Camber adjustment. How will i know if nothing happened to the Camber adjustent although the car does not pull over at low and high speed?

invest in some jackstands. you don't even need 4, just get 2 and find a couple bricks to stuff underneath the non-raised portion of the car.
it's the best investment you'll make in working on a car.
