Question How big are those spark plug tube nuts?

Well since i've just purchased a valve cover gasket w/ spark plug tubes, how big of a socket do i need to remove those 4 nuts where the spark plug wires go into?.....are they like 30-32mm or something?...i've heard they are 30mm, but the store only has 32MM will that work?

30mm if you can't get a socket, get a big wrench., adjustable one.

yup, 30 mm is correct. try car quest, i think that's where we got the right size socket for when we replaced the valve cover gasket on my car.

Try AutoZone. I got my socket from them, but it's part of the rent a tool program so you have to specially ask. The large nuts on top of the valve cover for your 1992 Camry are the same size as the hub nuts on the front wheels. So you'd have to ask for the 32mm or (30, whichever) hub socket, and it'd work for the others as well.

I jsut have a question. Are you replacing the spark plug tubes also. If so may I ask why? They are steel and should not need to be replaced. If you paid for them you should take them back. When you remove the tubes you can clean them very well with a wire wheel and then reseal them. We used to do it all the time when I was a tech. Unfortunately that has been about 6 years and I dont rememebr what product we used to reseal them. All I can tell you was it was a brown bottle with yellow lettering and if you get it on you it is a bitch to get off. You may want to call your local dealer and ask them what they use for this. NO reason buying something you don't need. Just you a good pair of channel locks to unscrew them making sure not to crush tehm obviously.
Just my 2cents.

No.

You need a 30mm socket or a big adjustable wrench.

Try Sears, they sell sockets individually.
