Just bought a 95 maroon camry, family driven 150 thousand miles, visible oil sludge from the oil filler cap, broken CV joint, minor oil leaks abound. It ran like shit until I got the condensation out of the spark plug sleeves/caps but otherwise I am incredibly happy vs. driving the Camry 89 V6 leather, 4 wheel discer. Sure I miss the V6, but I'm dealing with it on a day to day basis for now, and I drove the V6 without narrya tuneup and only paid a grand for it.
IF YOU EVER go looking at Toys for sale, look on the windshield or all around, or whatever for a dealer service sticker.., if its been in for even an oil change or any service within the last 10 or 20 thousand miles you can call them with the VIN and they will tell you EVERYTHING they found wrong with it, and thats your completely free up and honest inspection report which the seller will never give you no matter how nice you ask they will act stupid. Be patient.., it may take a day or half day to get the info, and no one else will do it for you. Anotherwards have a pen and paper for phone number of dealership and VIN before you ditch out to do your research.
They'll also tell you everything they fixed on it at the time.
Camrys are like lexus cars they are made to be refurbed and resold for tons of money, research and protect your investment.

Don't have some Toys have lexus motors in them or vice versa.., heck I thought Toys and lexus were more related vs. the new vibe I was looking at today which looked a hell of allot like a Toyota.., or a lexus or corolla whanna be.
man, i dunno, i know that different manufaturers make parts and stuff. My friend has a kia and it was made by Mazda. At least the Engine was. Eh. Who knows

Toyota is the parent company, it would be that Lexus cars use Toyota motors. (pop the hood and look at the valvecover, see for yourself)
I meant look inside the filler cap with a flash light. Under the filler cap.., oil sludge is oil sludge, but yeah I did notice some chunks. Luckily this motor was driven in Wisconsin and the cold winters saved it from becoming an oil burner I hope. The more they americanize the Toys the worse the product. Thats just my opinion though. Hire a few ceo's and managers who just want money and you get what you pay for. ..
