when i start my car the oil light stays on for a few seconds after all the other lights go off, i have never noticed this before now (cause i dont think it did it before) but i really dont like it and i was wonderin if you guys had any input for here.

What oil weight are you using and how cool is it in the morning?
I would check oil level immediately if you have not done so now. When was last time you changed oil and filter? Could be the pickup screen in oil pan is blocked.
Check oil pan for damage, may be obstructing pickup.
If nothing apparant, you will need to get your hands on an oil pressure gauge.
For my engine, idle is 4.3 psi and 3000 rpm @ 43 - 78 psi.
Major work to get to oil pump on my engine (timing belt).

it's pretty cold outside, i thought it might be because it's cold also..

i had just got my oil changed about 1000 miles ago, and i checked my oil level as soon as i noticed the light, and the oil is still clear and tot he fill line..not sure about the filter tho, but ill check the oil pan soon.
