Hey guys, just wondering if anyone made a rear shock tower bar for gen3? I would love to have one to stiffen up the chassis a bit more
The backseat bracing and rear deck, support the rear strut towers. I really don't think any more would be necessary. Unless you were striping the car for weight reduction and removed alot of bracing.

yeh I thought the parcel shelf pretty much acts as a strut bar anyway, but you can never have a chassis too stiff! I already have the swaybar from whiteline, works great!
I auto-crossed with this guy who had a rear sway bar on his GTi, and everytime he would take a corner, his rear tire would lift off the ground. It was pretty sick.
They for sure make a difference

I would think that the rear tire lifting is because his center of gravity in his vehicle is too high in relation to his wheel track. I lowered my 04 SE and installed the rear sway bar and changed the wheels/tires to 225/45-18's. Now I can take a turn just about flat out with no lifting at all and only a slight body lean. Of course my tires do at times slide across the road to the other side of the street, but the car remains relatively flat thru the turn. I like driving.
