HP at the crank is the power output being measure by the rotational force of the crank alone.
HP at the wheels is after it has been delivered thru the drivetrain..that is...gearbox, diff, axles etc. There is always a loss of power from engine to the actual wheels.

IMO = In my opinion.

Stock 1MZ = 180-200HP?? I'm not sure about that..but somewhere there.

In terms of commercials reporting power figures..really depends on the manufacturer, but I would say they'd report it at the crank..makes it sound better than it actually is.

jetspeed- the 03 and newer 1MZs have 210hp

syang- FYI, the average amount of power you lose on an automatic is about 20% from the crank to the wheels
for example, my 3MZ has 225hp to the crank and probably 180 to the wheels + or - a few ponies cause i also have an intake and exhaust

copmanies tend to report the crank hp numbers.... cause they're higher, to make it sound better

really depends on the car, I've heard rumors that certain companies report certain cars at figures that are dumbed down to lower insurance costs, I believe it was said that this was done with the SRT-4 and so on.
