My Dad Is Crazy!!!

For those of you who don't know, I had a squeeking sound coming from one of my wheels on my '93 Cam. So it turned out to be the rear break pad. It was finished and locking up, this is why the sound was sooo loud. So now my dad is the master of "mickey-mousing" things as i call it. If you don't know what this means, lets just say he knows how to Mcgyver everything. So he takes of my calipers and stuck another brake pad between the two pads so that the piston doesn't come out anymore. Then he ties up the caliper with a wire hanger and tells me to put back on thw wheel. So I do and he now tells me I can drive it like that until I buy my pads. I know in theory the car will still brake, but I just don't trust that caliper hanging there. This man has got to be crazy!

Well, this works for the time being but I wouldn't go too long like that. Also...tell him if this is McGyver style.....then wtf is the duct tape...lol (Ok, so I grew up in the 80's what were we to expect). Just don't go too long like that, if the other side goes you may have a problem.

I'm gonna go buy my pads this morning and change them this afternoon. Gonna do them myself, since paying to have them change the front last time costed $25USD, which i think is alot when compared to doing it myself which is free.
