Catback Exhaust, need advice

Hey guys,

I'm staring to upgrade my exhaust, just got finished putting in Bosal Headers and Magnaflow high flow catalytic convertor. Now I need to do the other end of it.

Are there any nice catback exhaust systems available for the Gen3 5sfe? I have seen two different ones, the bosal and an OBX system.

Are either one of these good?

Also of equal importance, do any of them sound good? I really do not want a fart can on my car, and would like it to remain as quiet as possible. I know the two kinda clash but what do you guys recomend?

Or is just getting a custom catback the way to go? If so, what parts would you recomend for it?

Thanks!

One more exhaust Question

What size piping should I go with? I've heard the stock size is 2.0in, is this correct? Is it worth bumping it to 2.25in?

What about the loss of backpressure, how much will it affect the low end power?

And finally, I am goning to drop in a new motor soon, so it will either be high compression NA, or 9.5 -1 SC, hows that effect my choice?

Thanks

Ive got a similar question too. I've got my extractors running to a y-pipe then to a 2 1/2 inch hi flow cat. After that, ive got 2" piping runing to near my spare wheel where it splits into two 2 1/4" piping to the mufflers. I have a section of 2 1/4" exhuast piping that fits btw my cat and the split. Do you think it would be a good idea to change it to the 21/4??

consistent pipe diameter = consistent air flow = better results.

2.25 should be enough for a 4 banger. 2.5 is pushing it and is probably not the best way to go. someone else should have the answer.

What about the V6? Is 2" a little restrictive, especially with different pipe sizing.

Cool

JetspeedCamry do 2, or 2.25 until the Y and from there back do 2.5.

If you can't get the pipe mandrel bent for you, you should definately use 2.25 until the Y.

gen3 cruiser you have an i4, do 2" mandrel bent, or 2.25". Nothing larger.
