Help with wiper linkages please.

Hi all;

So my wipers haven't worked in quite a while, almost a year I guess. I figured I should get them going again for winter, what with the slush & salt, etc.

I tested the motor and found it shot, so I got a new one. Now the wipers still don't go, though the motor at least spins. So my next guess is linkages, after spraying them with WD-40 they work _slightly_ better, but still crap.

So, what is the best way to go about taking the linkage out / cleaning / lubing them?

Is it usually the joints on the linkages, or the part that actually attaches to the wiper arm and rotates?

Thanks...

I know it may seem obvious, but have you checked the actual bolts that hold the wiper arms down? One of mine stopped working and I thought it was much more involved, until i checked the bolt at the end of the arm and found it to be loose.

i recently had a loose bolt on the wiper arm too.

sorry i dont have any helpful words of advice. i dont have any experience with the wiper system. i would say just figure it out. it cant be too complicated. make sure everything is tight, make sure everything moves like it should. maybe have the wipers going on low speed and use your hand to help it move to get it started...
