I have 98 camry and for some reason the emergency brake keeps sticking really REALLY bad. bad enough to the point it made me slide out on the freeway. now i went to the shop and they said the couldnt find anything wrong with it. also the brake light turns off for a while, but it keeps comming back on.....does any one else have this problem???

Have your brakes ever been worked on, pads or liners changed? Are the rear brakes disk or drum? Brake system bled..new fluid? Is your brake fluid clear or dark and is the fluid above the MIN mark?
How many miles are on the car? Define "sticking". Front or rear, left or right?
Describe your "slide" on the freeway..any sounds or feeling in the pedals or car itself?
Does your emergeny brake handle move smoothly and does it engage the emergency brake? When you release it does the emergency brake release?
Was the "shop" a toyota dealer?

all my brakes are fine, i went over EVERYTHING. i checks the fluid, no problems there. and the slide...i was going about 50mph on the freeway because the brake wouldnt release all the way, all of a sudden my car was facing opposite way in traffic. im not sure what happened. but when i finally go it to the shop they said they cant find anything wrong. the brake doesnt seem to engage all the way, but it wont release all the way either. now i thought it was the front brakes at first, so i got all 4 new brakes just incase. but its still doing the same thing. its getting to the point where my brakes start smoking after too long.

What do you mean by the brakes won't engage all the way, and won't release all the way either? What breaks are smoking? When did you get the new brakes?
the emergency brake wont engage or release properly, and the emergency brake is causing smoke after too long because it half way catching. and the rubbing is causing smoke

Take it to a shop that has a tech that can test drive it with you. It helps if they can see the problem your having first hand. If the rear brakes are dragging it should be pretty obvious once the tech puts it up in the air and trys to spin the wheel by hand.
yeah im taking it in again on mon. where i live its limited on where to take your car and they do shitty jobs. so i hope it gets done right this time, and the rotors not bent.

Maybe your caliper(s) locked-up. I had that problem on my old car before. The Caliper locked and it would take twice as much power to get the car moving. After a while I burned up my brakes and ruined my rotor. My brake light came on also...
