Arite, I'll probably be takin my 3s and throwing it into an N/A MR2... which means im keeping the 1MZ in my Camry... but not this 1MZ... I was wondering what the differences in the years are?
The reason for this is i would like to know why the 97+ have the Supercharger availability, but it seems that the 96- do as well, except that its a lot harder of an install... just wondering about this... thanks

For Camrys
'94-'96= 188HP
'97-'02= 194HP
'03+=210HP (VVt-i)
ES 300 '94-'95 is basic 1mz-fe
ES 300 '96-'98 has more power
ES 300 '99+ has vvt-i
I was wrong sorry I don't keep up with Camries hah.

I don't know because from what I understand, even the 94' Camry's were OBDII compliant despite not having an OBDII style plug. Can anyone else vouch for this? I heard that here.
What I have gathered from Jason Gibson's page on supercharging his '95:
The 94-96 have different EGR and AC Idle-up systems, so they don't mate up to the supercharger. You could probably use the rear manifold from a '97+ and be ok for the EGR, as far as the idle-up solenoid, if the '97+ one is electrically the same that should work fine. Otherwise you will have to go custom or turning the AC on with the engine idling will make it stall. The EBC runs off the shift solenoid wires, which theoretically should be the same (14.4v = on, 0v = off) but apparently are different somehow so the EBC doesn't see the tranny shifting. It should be as simple as using 3 small relays to overcome that one.
I never kept up with motor/model year for Camries.

I don't care who here is saying it, OFFICIALLY the pre-1995 Camry's and ES300's are not Fully OBDii compliant.

Nope, you're wrong. It's the other way around. On the 1994 XLE you and I have, we have an OBDII style connector, but it's only got 4 pins in it. Def. not OBDII compliant.
