Unhappy need engine help!!!!

I need to know if the 97-01 4cyl engine will fit in a 94 camry. Or a engine that I could swap into the camry body keeping the auto transmission.

The engine will bolt up, but you have to change stuff over.

97 - 01 5S-FE have DIS (distributorless ignition system) and a returnless fuel system.

What this means is that you need to change the wiring harness, ecu, and redo the fuel system.

You'd be better off finding an engine from a 94 Camry.

DIS and returnless fuel system on 5S-FE!!!
Does it get more HP and Torque?
So that's even better then 92-99 Celica 5S-FE (135HP, 145lb-ft)?

DIS was on 5sfe since 1994. (1992-93 were with a distributor). But I don't know about that fuel return thing. I agree with 88le, you d'better go for an engine of your car's year (from 1994 up to 1996 and you can be sure to be alright).
