my driver side window just stopped working today...and the sucky part about it is the window is almost all they way down...it made this funny sound while i was rolling it down and then it just stopped...and no the iwndows arent locked lol...ne ideas guys...or do i have to rip this door apart again?

If the motor makes a sound then it is fine, or it could be the window regulator that moves the window up and down.I hope that helps some how.

this happened to me while i was rolling up my window on my way home one day. i seriously thought someone threw a rock at my window, because it was a huge pop sound.

my window would go down, but not up at all. the upward motor was broken, but luckily the bodyshop had just worked on that part of my car, so they took blame for it. the part was like $70, and the installation would have been a lot more had they not been nice.

It could be several things. Peel off the door skin and you'll know right away. Some possabilities include...

-shot window motor
-cables twisted and f**ked (happened to me)
-switches are fried
-window bearing thingy popped out of the tracks (not likely)

The same thing happened to me. It just wouldn't go up or down so I had to take it to somebody to get it fixed. It will probrably cost about $200. That's what it cost me. Hope this helps
