i think the 9006 st/2 just means there are 2 bulbs in the packet. sometimes it comes w/ just 1 bulb in the package.

don't worry about the st, sx etc. if it is silverstar, that's what matters. and look then at 9005 or 9006 etc.

on ebay read closely to make sure it comes as 2 bulbs and not 1 for the price.

btw, why 9006 and not 9005? the conversion afterwards is awesome!

some of the suffixes refer to different connector receptacles on the bulbs. I believe the standard bulbs have the connector at a right angle to the bulb, and some of the other modified versions have a straight plug at the end.

go to your local auto parts store and inspect the bulbs over there for what the differences are.

btw

what about the other bulbs, the midgrade sylvanias? are they better than stock? will the cars benefit from modding the high beam bulb to fit the low beam socket as was mentioned in the silverstar posting?

ur gonna like silverstars. ive had mine for about a month and a half. they arent super bright white but there X100000 better than stock. anyway i think the difference between 9006 and 9005 is a different fit into the socket. some1 correct me if im wrong.

^youre wrong

the 9005 bulb, while it still has the same wattage, produces 70% more lumens (light)

Big thing to me about the silverstars was changing out the corner lamps at the same time. I just went with lows and ended up buying everything. The s/s made my corner lamps look freak yellow. Ugly as sin. Not that theres anything wrong with sin.
I did not do the mod. I may later but it's not high on the priority list cause I have working 9005/6 headlights. I do like the silverstars and will continue to use them.
