Hey guys, just wondering if there is a such thing as a quiet performance muffler? I want one that is a quiet and least restrictive as possible, it is for the 5sfe.
Ractive Oval mufflers, such as the M-252 or M-254.
Or any oval type traight through muffler.
Also, there is a type of muffler called a "turbo muffler." They are pretty high-flowing and are fairly quiet. You should be able to pick one up from your local muffler shop for $60USD installed.
edit: another option is to just get whatever muffler you want and have an extra resonator installed to muffle the system more.
a quietest performance muffler would be a steelpacked stepped and sleved box. not a straight tough, but its on an angle (in one corner out the other corner opposite sides) with a silencer sleeve as well. steelpack is quieter then glasspack stuffed boxes.
go one step further and get a glasspacked filled exhaust tip too.

my friend has a lukey stepped box on his camry v6. similar to what i mention expect its not sleeved (louder) and glasspacked (louder).
at idle and cruising speeds its pretty much the same as the stock box (you can hear engine over exhaust) but above 3 its nice and deep.. still not loud.
