Strut Installation

Hey All,

i have a 94 camry with about 114xxx miles on it. The struts feel like they are due so I would like to get them replaced. Being as I am not very mechanically inclined I would like to get this done at a garage. I've done a search on the forum and read something about having to remove the rear deck/seats to get to the rear strut mounts? If this is the case, would i have to remove my amplifiers that i have mounted on the back of my rear seats for the mechanics to be able to change out the rear struts? Or is it possible to leave them on there? Its just so cold outside now that i dont feel like crawling in the back of the car labeling a ton of wires if i dont have to

Thanks in advance,

al

There are a few nuts they have to remove @ the strut mount. I think you could leave the amps mounted, as long as they are near the center of the seats.

Agreed. You should be able to leave the amps in place. Just warn the dealership that amps are attached to the back seats so that they take steps to protect them while working on the struts.
