Question Alloy metal rims lug nuts interchange ?

I have 2003 OEM alloy rims with lug nuts. Can I use those lug nuts for metal rims ?

They have washers. Toyota did not provide any lug nuts for spare tire, since spare tire has metal rim ?

It depends on the wheel/rim.

Look at the wheel where the lugnuts sit against. It'll either be a flat hole or tapered hole.

Flat hole = shank style lugnut.

Tapered hole = acorn style lugnut.

Thanks for all inputs.
My steel rim is hubcentric, and I think it's tapered hole. I called Toyota dealership, they would not recommend for OEM Alloy lugnuts on steel rims. Probably I will buy lugnuts (0.75-$1/each) for my winter tires.
