Anyone know of a company that makes a LSD for automatics?
I have a supercharged 98 1mz. It is an automatic. Although it has traction control, it is horribly fussy on full throttle. It spends more time completely cutting out. So I just turn it off each time I drive. I am having a difficult time finding a Limited Slip Differential, anyone know of a place?
I'd call them up and get a quote for pricing. I think the MR2 lsd would work too but If i remember correctly (I talked to him like 3 months ago) he said its for manual tranny.
cool thanks- I will check it out. By the way CamNub, I won't call you Daddy, but I be grateful If you can tell me what the damn envelope all the way to the left side of the post means...? Trying to get acclimated to the boards
Peace~
I have a Phantom LSD installed in my A541E transmission by IPT. The install required some basic custom work, but I personally do not know the details of it. The LSD I have was originally made for the 5spd 1MZ-FE transmission but was fitted in the auto trans with some custom machining.

LySergic Acid Diethylamide-25?
No Limited Slip Differential!
One of these days, I swear I'm gonna get me a 1970 eldorado, monster front wheel drive caddi that could go from 0-60 in 7 seconds stock. But to get back on topic, all I know is that LSDs for front wheel drives are a little more complicated than for rwd.
Do they have LSDs for the A140E? There are few thing more sad than a single burn out all by itself on the road, so lonely it needs a partner, two burn out marks is more like it. Not that Ieven have to worry about that in my 4 banger though....
here is what I found... importperformancetrans.com has done a few LSD for Camrys. Most notably Tony the Tiger's Monster Camry. I was told from John @ IPT that it will be about $400 for the LSD. Of course you either need to visit his establishment in NJ or have a reputable place remove your stock differential and ship to John for Fabrication. so you are talking 8 or so hours for labor to remove and replace the differential, plus another 1-2 hours for IPT to do their thing. So at around $70 an hour labor times 10 hours= $700 in labor. Sounds well worth it for anyone with a force fed camry or corolla or even a V6 camry in a 5spd. The word on Kaazusa.com is they don't offer it for camry. Since this is not-typical add for a camry, I am definitely more inclined to trust a performance minded transmission specialist to do the work rather than ordering from an online retailer, then have any run of the mill shop or mass production dealer do the work. The price seems about right. The Dodge SRT-4 are a high powered front driver and they now have LSD standard (I believe) for 04. Which by the way I will be looking for these little pocket rockets to see how I match up. I will be posting kills when they start pouring in. Sleeper all the way!!!
