More damage to my car

Ok so quick summary of whats going on.....

I went away to college this year, to Boston, and I wasnt planning on taking my car with me so i went out and bought a carport tent to store my car in ALL winter. I put it up in my backyard and bolted it to the ground with my dad. It was perfect. My car wasnt planning on seeing the light of day till at least summer. So before i went back from Thanksgiving break, i waxed it up, put fuel stabilizer and stored it away and said goodbye.

So now i came home, and i went to the backyard to check on my baby. I unzip the tent and start it up, but as im walking to start it up i look at the driver side rear door, gas tank area and back panel and it looked like someone popped gum all over the back of my car. SO i stopped and touched it and oh yes, some one keyed the living daylights out of my car. I was crying and freeking out. Called the poilce, wrote a report. SOMEONE CAME UP MY DRIVEWAY< WENT AROUND MY HOUSE< OPENED THE TENT AND KEYED AND AND WALKED AWAY. I know NO ONE who would do that, or come close to doing that becuase they know either me or my parents will have them dead. Showed my parents who also flipped out, and now im going to get an estimate tommorow. My uncle came over, who does autobody and said that the scratches were so deep (to the metal) that its gonna be a good $2,000. Mind you i just paid close to $3,000 to repair a run in with a deer and paint my car and kit. Now im in the hole big time. Im f**king pissed, i wanna sell my car and not deal with the bad luck this car brings me.

On top of that, my dad doesnt want to go through insurance becuase the rates will increase, blah blah blah......

Dont know what to do.... im gonna lose my mind.

I don't know if it's possible, but maybe see if you can go through your parent's home insurance rather than car insurance. I know that cars can be covered under some circumstances, but I'm not sure if vandalism is one of them.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I hope the police put their radar guns down long enough to do some investigating.

Just drive the car... I feel for you.

This will be a good test of your spite, and it will make you a stronger person. Also.., when someone mentions it you can go into a tirade or temper tantrum over it and eventually you will start to feel better about it. Let it all out!

Sorry to hear about your problem. Check with your insurance company before giving up. This should be covered under the comprehensive portion of your insurance policy. Many insurance companies will not consider this a mark against you since vandalism is not something that is your fault. Good luck.

Wow, I can't believe someone who just do that for no reason...that sad especially after you repaired it! Never heard of that kind of damage from scratching though. Don't give up on your car! Good luck
