For this type of money that is a bad kit. Untill the bidding price goes up. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1839614708
Its not bad but dont expect "Double digit" hp gains from just a ram air intake. You'll get around 5 or so hp in the higher end rpm's, and you'll lose some hp in the low end rpm's.Also better sound when you rev the engine. The quality of intakes in mostly appearance wise. There all basically metal tubes! As long as its made strong, your good. Hope that helps, and if i'm wrong on any of this, feel free to correct me!

very true, 5hp is probably pushing it. Thats why i stuck with the stock intake and droped the k/n in, keep my low end. CAI is the only thing worth puting in, but i dont have the patience/skill/$ to do a custom one.But if you want the sound and look, for $30, go for it!

I do have a crazy little idea i've been tinkering with though. Is it possible to put the ram intake in and connect the end of the filter to the rest of the stock intake? (stuff after the stock filter box) Resulting in a CAI? Let me know if its possible or even makes sense!

I haven't bid for it yet still thinking about it. By any change does that type of intake make your vehicle sound like a little fart car or I thinking of those big mufflers.

no, the "fart" noise your refering to usually is maked by the performance mufflers. Intake have a nice revooom, sound in the high rpm's. Muffler's are responsible for the bbrrrrrrr (fart) sound!

ALOT of people (stupid people at that) think my intake (sound that is) is a turbo It makes a nice "hissing" sound at idle, and squeels when its revving at 5-6 grand
nice alex, i'm guessing no but it's worth a try, You didnt have any noticeable gain / lose in hp did you? I might go for a OBX just for styling/sound!Chrome ones look hot!

i didn't really notice anything. Except if its really hot outside, it kinda bogs at really low rpm, if i try to just floor it instantly. Other then that, no real difference, exccept the sound of course
Summit make a intake heat deflecting kit promising 30% less temperature of incoming air on ram air intakes. Looks like aluminum type wraping. $50usd. Think that would help any??

My last car was an 87 Colt Vista before I totaled it just 3 weeks ago. I just got the 95 Camry LE just last week and what I can do it is still new to me. I've looked into the performance mufflers but I want to avoid that stupid fart sound that comes out them. The air intake is looks very nice. If I can find a turbo for the Camry I mite drop that in if I know for sure the engine can handle it.
sorry about the accident dude, you ok? anyway, yeah the intake is a nice mod but the turbo will definetly give the HP you want!As long as the engine is in good working condition it will handle it, but you need to change many other components of your car so you can handle all that power. Sadly turbo=$$$$.$$, and $$$$.$$ = no turbo for me!
