Today I discussed everything with my financial advisor (my gf) and she said I could save up for an electrocharger (they will be released in 05). I told her how much a turbo/supercharger setup would cost and how much hp would be gained... then I told her how much with the electrocharger for the around the same price range.... also the fact that its puts MUCH LESS stress on your motor and you can register it as a hybrid vehicle and get a tax DEDUCTION JEAH (not to mention the sweet 3 second drop on your 0-60 and overall quarter mile time)! So it is final... I should have the money by the release day. I will keep everyone informed when I buy it. I hope to be the first electrocharged camry if no one beats me to it =].
"The new product we are expecting to introduce next year will be an upgrade for the Electrocharger™ that allows you to add 15PSI of boost to the engine. Giving you up to an additional 200HP, but in a sophisticated intelligent manner. Keep watching the website for more details. "

just curious, but wondering how much it'll be. the site said price is TBA.
you'll have to figure in the installation cost or how hard it would be to do the install yourself. that's one of the reasons i haven;'t gotten the supercharger yet. too lazy to install it, and installation would be alot more than the $3500 for a rippmods s/c.
btw, my gf is also my financial advisor...but oftentimes she advises me NOT to buy more car mods/stuff, but i do anyways

Hmm that is a very interesting mod indeed. We'll have to wait and see.
For those who didn't read it, it doesn't seem to be a FI system. Rather a motor coupled to your crankshaft to supply power/torque through the drivetrain.
Actually if you see the other post, I already proved it was less than 15hp. More than likely 12hp.
And the more torque they give it via gearing and how the wire is wound in the electric motor, the smaller the powerband.

Hey yeah have fun with that. Um, will you also give me money to flush down the toilet? I'd love to have a chance to wipe my ass with a Benjamin sometime.

TBA means "To Be Announced" as paradizecity said, not to be advised...
Why would you put that much money into something you aren't sure that will work, when you could put about the same amount of money into a turbo or supercharger that you know will work? In other words, save that money up, but then buy a turbo with it

Its not how fast your car goes...its how much nerve the driver has to push it that fast.
I have a question about regenerative braking.... Does a stock Camry use that to charge the battery, or is the battery only charged by the alternator? Cause if you don't have regenerative braking to begin with, I'm really interested in how you plan to put it on there.
Meh, I'd rather have an electric motor spool up my turbo ahead of time like twincharging rather than it trying to move my car. This way I can run a huge laggy turbo and not worry about the lag
