All through the last year of school, this kid by the name of Joe talked a LOT of SHlT about Camrys. Talking how is 1.5 Civic DX could easily spank my Camry. This kid went as far as saying I know shlt about cars, when he was convinced that if it said DOHC on the top of the motor, it was a Honda motor. I swear, he though DOHC was a engine name for Honda.
So last night, I saw him at some kids house. I rolled up, dropped the window and challenged him. He started to laugh, and ask if I were serious. I told him I was and he continued to laugh. I told him he had no balls. He told me I dont know shlt about cars. We go back and forth for about 6 minutes. He wont race! He tells me his car is way too expensive to race. Lets see... 6k on the car. thirty bux on the seat covers. Hundred dollars on the intake-muffler combo he bought. And under 2k for his "rims". He said, "Hop out, let me show you something about accessories" So I said, "O did you buy a new steering wheel cover?"
Long story short, this kid TOTALY bltched out, after talking about how bad he would beat my Cammy. Its great, I love the fact that next year, he cant say shlt. Cause he bltched out.
Cliff notes: Civic vs Camry, DOHC, Funny, Loser, bi*ch out

I love tooling on jerks like that. 2 years ago I had a 1988 Porsche 944. I went to this kids college grad. party, my friend mentions that I have a 944. He asks me if it were a turbo. I say no, and he says "oh, so it's just a base model". I say "yeah, base model Porsche 944". So I ask him about his 1990 Mustang, and it's a 4-cyl. I ask if it's a stick, and he says no, it's an auto. I almost laughed in his face! So I say "oh, it's a 4-cyl. auto. Mmm." Stupid punk was running a stock rustang w/a 4-cyl auto and was making fun of my Porsche! HA! Ignorant jerk.
i got a 4-cyl auto. stock
but i've only had the car for 7 months...still paying it off, it's my first car, and...i'm in schoo' still
A 4cyl in a Mustang... jeezus. For some reason or another, American car companies have dwindled upon their OWN image of performance... plain and simple... a muscle car is not a mucle car, nor does it deserve the title, unless it has a big, badass, gas-guzzling V8 in it. Think about it... Chevelle, Camaro, CORVETTE, the old Mustangs, Cobra, yadda yadda yadda.... a 4cyl does NOT belong in a muscle car, nor does a V6. However, imports are a completely different can of worms. Small engine + uber-high redlines + high compression = power AND efficiency. I will take my Camry's uber-smooth 4cyl over a clunkity V8. However, when it comes to racing, I'll take that big clunkity V8 in exchange for efficiency... because I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time... and for those 10 seconds or less, I'm FREE.

I'm not knocking the Toyota 4-cyl. We all know a Japanese 4-cyl will destroy almost any American 4-cyl.
I'm knockin' this kids former 1990 (or earlier) AMERICAN MADE 4-cyl auto 'Rustang. It couldn't have been putting out more than 95 HP, yet he still had the balls to brush off my 944 'cause it wasn't a turbo.
Now apparently he's driving a 2001 Civic with the wing/lowered/tinted/stickers/etc. on it. Total rice bucket...
One thing i wanted to make sure is Toyota should have more DOHC than Hondas.
As I know, all Camrys all DOHC, and the new accords are now SOHC; also, Honda likes to use SOHC engine recently.
you gotta love the non-flaming attitude around here! ah, a place where we can drop jaws for straight displacement and efficient import power...makes my eyes a little moist.

I'm guessing that since he mentions 'old mustang' and chevelle in the same sentence, he's not referring to the technologically advanced C5.
God... I now remember why I love this board.... anywho. For those who dont know/remember, my Camry is going to the Sister in September/November and I will be gettin a S-13 with a ca18 or sr20 motor. My sister WILL rock this car, and I will make sure of it. I will be over seeing every aspect of this 100% non-rice Camry.... and I work at Pep Boyz... I dont know why that maters
