Nice try slick. Try reading the thread title.

That doesn't answer the question of Yellow Top Model #s.

^ actually, dont' think there are any difference between the terminals....there's a difference between the red and the yellow top tho....

I think the only real difference are in the sizes of the batteries...

to the best of my knowledge, no matter what yellow top you get, you'll still have to stretch/change the battery wires to make them reach the terminals because they are opposite from the toyota ones

yes the battery in a camryis a bit.. the cables are only just long enough to reach... and no mainstream compnay mkes one with enough amps with teh terminals in the right position (i got a battery thats 3 amps short of spec and it hurts.. crankin gi slonger, and lights are dim). whatever you get, just make sure its got same or more amps then your current battery.

Did you have to put anything underneath the battery to keep it high enough?

This one looks like it'll work for the Gen3 Camrys at least, but does it have enough cold cranking amps?

I replaced the OEM battery on my 98 Sienna with the Optima SC34R, a reverse pole “Red Top” battery.

Though it’s not tall enough to reach the original battery cage-shield/bracket. So I used a piece of 2” wood underneath it to increase the height.

Here are the specs:
Cold Cranking Amps @ 0F 800
Cranking Amps @ 32F 1000
Reserve Capacity 110 minutes
Size: 10" L x 6.7/8" W x 7 13/16" H
Minimum Weight: 37.9 lbs
Voltage: 12V

I have noticed that this battery can recover so quickly even if I use the stereo and 2 headrest video for a couple of hours and can still start the van.

Actually your mistaken.

Red top has more CCA then yellow top. However the yellow top has a higher reserve capacity, its a deep cycle battery.

Red top = starting battery
Orange top = same as red top, except terminals are reversed
Yellow top = deep cycle
Blue top = deep cycle marine

I have a red top in my gen 2. It fits fine, but I had to unhook one of the clips for the positive battery cable so that it would reach.

So which battery, yellow or red, would you recommend for a gen2?

And what is the difference between deep-cycle and starting?

Either one will work.

If you have a stereo system and play it a lot with the car not running, look into a yellow top.

Deep cycle means that it can be discharged and recharged without any problems. Though its not a good idea to run them completely dead.

The red top can be discharged, but it won't hold up as well as a yellow top. Yellow top will withstand more discharge/recharge cycles vs. red top.

Dont go with mr alternator, just got finished sending my alternator back to them. There alternator charges at 12.6 at idle, when my factory charged at 13.9-14.2. I didn't pay 260usd for a 12.6 charge at idle..
