need help on gauges...

okay guys i have ordered my oil, water, air/fuel ratio meter gauges...hopefully it will be here by the next 4 days or so...it also comes with a boost gauges but im giving it to my friend since his the one whos going to help me do the installation...anyways...we know how to hook up the air/fuel ratio meter...but we need help on how to hook up oil pressure, and water temperature...i did some searching but didnt get what i was looking for...

thanks guys...this is my next project by the way...because im getting my car ready for HOT IMPORT NIGHT in Seattle, WA in july 30, 2005...hopefully i will have it done by then...i mean damn i have 3 jobs...and all i been doing is buying stuff for my car...

erm.... check gauges manual/leaflet that it comes with? connections woudl depend on if hteyre mechanical or electronic.

I recommend electronic gauges. That way you don't have to run water and oil lines inside the car to the gauges. You still have to hookup the wiring from the sensors/senders to the gauges though.


Sender for the water temp gauge
---------------------------------------

1. Drill and tap the water neck that bolts onto the right side of the cylinder head.

2. Install the sender and wire it to the gauge.


Sender for oil pressure gauge
------------------------------------

You'll have to get the correct fittings and tie it all together with the stock oil pressure switch.

You can also get rid of the stock oil pressure switch, but the light (low oil pressure) on the dash will come on. If you choose to do it this way, you need the correct adapter. Something like male BSPT to female 1/8" NPT.


Most of the senders with aftermarket gauges (Autometer) are 1/8" NPT. Check your senders to make sure.
