Need for brake lines when lowering?

Hey guys, Ive got a question about a new concern I have for lowering my car in the spring... Ive read tons of forums on here about lowering and thought I had just about every possible thing I could/should buy down, until yesterday.

I was talking to a friend that recently lowered his audi A6 and he said the shop that did the install insisted that he install new brake lines because when the car was lowered, the already curved form of the lines would become even more curved, causing the lines to possibly pinch, crack, and fail. Is this a concern for camrys? I have a gen 3 and I will be dropping with tokico blues and H&R springs. thanks in advance fellas.

I did not see any problems when I lowered my gen 3. I do not recommend shortening the brake lines because even if your car sits lower, if you go over bumps at speed, your suspension extends the normal travel distance. If your brake lines are too short then....disaster.

Uh... never heard of that. You'll only be lowering about an inch+, I was around 3" and never had any problems.

Stock ones are fine. They're designed to be able to travel the entire legnth of the stock suspension's travel. Meaning the lower your car get's the less travel it has, and overall the less amount of distance it needs to move in the worse case. (I.E. car grabbing major air, or hitting a curb)

I had my '96 Accord lowered 4" and a '91 Accord lowered 3". Neither had a problem with the brake lines. I also had a '92 240sx lowered 2.5" and the same thing... no problem.
