I believe he dropped an engine into his wagon from a different car and was wondering what it was from.

Where would the block number be located on a 1996 camry? It is not the original engine and I need a dip stick for the oil and the dealership will not order me one unless i give them the VIN off the vehicle the engine came out of. Wouldn't this serial number be enough to tell me what i need?
Thanks, Linda
