Question about rims and wheel alignments

If I buy rims do I have to get a wheel alignment or can I just put them on myself If they already come with tires? How much is wheel alignments if I have to do it? Thanks

You don't have to get your car aligned if you're just putting on new rims. You can do it yourself, but if you've never changed a tire before, get someone who has to help you out. That way you won't have a 3,000lb car dropping on you.

Alignment is not necessary. However, consider getting your rims and rubber balanced.

Usually if you buy tires and rims online together they will come balanced for free. An alignment at Sears cost 59.99 An alignment is not required but is recommended for even tire wear.
