Question Leaving grille off...good idea?

Well i'm thinking about painting my gen3 grille to a different color, and i'll probably have it out for a day or so. Is it ok to leave the car without the grille? i mean will anyone be able to open the hood if there isnt a grille?

yes, they could

but by the same token, if somebody wants to break in or steal your stuff, a grill isn't going to stop them either....hardly even slow them down infact

Yea...if they really think there's something good, then they can just get in whenever they want, but leaving the grille off just gives them more of an incentive.

Don't know how obvious it is on yours, but on my gen1, the hood latch is clearly visible when the grille is off...it's better to not risk it and take it off when the car is in a safe place.

Go to junk yard or shop another grill and get if it is cheap. Then you can take your time and do a good job.
