Hi guys, my name is Terance. i am planning to buy a camry sometime in the near future and was doing research when i came across this forum. i have a question for you guys and i hope you can help me with it. i live in NY, about 5 hours from ottawa, and my aunt lives there. I talked to her recently and mentioned that i was buying a new car, and she was like, "you should come up here and buy it, its much cheaper!!" i was just wondering if that were true, and if so....what would be involved?? thank you very much for your time!!! chao!!

oh yea! soo much cheaper! your dollar is worth like 1.65 here! and car prices are arnt that different. for a car thats 10G here you would have to pay like 6g! you should contact the government to see if they might tax you bringing it across the border.

you will get taxed and there might be some inspections u maybe required to get so check with ur state to see wat their requirements are...

She is absolutely correct in saying that it's much much cheaper. However, there are some rules that you need to follow. Read up on importation in this recent article.
