This is the same thing as a short ram intake right? I checked Weapon R's website and they have the same intake (same name) but the intakes look different and the price difference is also pretty huge. Would this intake on sale be any good?
it doesnt look like a regular dragon intake to me....mayb the site made them themselves and are trying to pass them off as a real one...id be careful....that doesnt look like a dragon intake to me

Believe it or not, it is a real dragon intake. I have the same one, but I bought mine around 2 yrs. ago. These are the old model intakes, the new ones do look different, and for $60.00 why not get it, it's only $60.00.
^your not really going to see THAT much HP out of any of them really...K&N flows like the car didnt have a filter, and a CAI gives colder air...a CAI is the best you can have, prolly with a K&N filter...colder air burns better, you will also see some changes in the rpm range

Stock air box brings air from the same place a CAI does.
And cold air doesn't burn better
Intakes are useless alone. Once your engine needs the air (i.e. built or force injection) then you get the best gains from K&N. It allows the most flow.

but bottom line, gains are minimal regardless of intake setup?
Yup. Intakes only allow for gains. Meaning your engine will be straining for air if you have a turbo with a stock filter. So then it's time to upgrade something with more flow. Otherwise, your just leaning out your mixture. It only helps high end, but it costs you low end.
Stock filter baby!

mayb on a v6...ive taken out the components and seen them for myself...the end of the stock piping is right in back of the left hand headlight housing...a CAI, on the otherhand, takes up air from the inside the fender...the stock does receive SOME air from there...but if i remember correctly, there is only a small opening there
well...whatever, arguing on the internet is like competing in the special olympics (you kno the rest)....we all have love here on TN...lets all have one big group hug
