engine rebuild questions plz help

what's up everybody,

i blew my head gasket and bent a rod last weekend, so i am now having my engine totally torn down and rebuilt. Here's where the help is needed i am planning on adding the rippmod supercharger eventually, what should i have done during the rebuild process to help prepare for it. Porting, polishing, bore out the block??? If anyone could give me any pros, cons, and benefits of the work i'd appreciate it.

thanks,
brian

first of all, you should do a lot more research.

1) Porting and polishing (generally both go together), are done on the heads, not on the block.

2) Many of these topics have been covered and beaten to death.

3) As with any boosting (you could've easily searched and found this again), lower CR will help you out with boosting much more.

I think before you consider the rippmods kit, you should invest some time in researching everything that goes into installing it, operating it and contributing to its performance.

Since someone started it, I'll highjack the thread.
I wanna do all NA on the 5S-FE. I can get P&P but looking for high CR piston and regrind cams. I gonna keep the ECT auto tranny, don't want manual swap. What CR should I go? What cam should I get? Where can I get them?
Will have header from 3S-GE, TechTom ECU and 3S-GTE fuel pump also.

11:1+ CR depending on wha tfuel you want to run. cams? get your current cams re grinded. if you rmotor is non interference you can grind down teh head to increase CR. cams can be reprofiled at many places... but expect delays (im getting Crow Cams to do mine, as theyve already done a 3VZ profile b4). other things such as better head gaskets, and your ecu of choise too to be considered. cams wont require you to take teh head off, where as a port or new pistons/whatever for higher CR will.
