hey everyone... im not sure if its replaceable but I believe its the tie rod boot that connects to the arm. when I turn the steering wheel all the way and move and turn it back straight, it makes a clunk noise. I checked it and a boot is split... it looks like a balljoint but a little smaller. My first question is what is the actual part called and can I replace it because it doesnt really make sense if I have to change the whole tie rod for it. Thanks greatly for the help.

I think its just as what you called it "tie rod boot"
Call up NAPA or some autoparts store and ask for a tie rod boot for whatever car you have.

That's the only name I know it by. Call a dealer after the autoparts store. Sometimes they'll surprise you and not only know what you're talking about, they'll have as good a price.
