......This morning when i woke up i found out that my car was broken into!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Broke in from the passenger side window and took my mp3 cd player..... Guess its my lost, so does any of you know a place around Cleveland where i can get a replacement side window?
I don't know anyplace in the area, but I want to go on the record as saing I hope that the guys either A get caught and sodomized in jail, or B die slowly and painfully. I have no appreciation for a thief. Sorry to hear that, that is always 1thing I am afraid of, is someone stealing anything from my car, which is why I got a Viper on it, it may not prevent a motivated crook, but it may deter the crackhead car thief who would desicrate my car
if it's the windows that roll up and down than that's hella easy to fix, but the rear quarter windows are much harder. Go to your local phone book and look up (auto parts, used); salvage, auto dismantlers, wreckers, junkyards that kinda thing. I guess since the 92-96 use the same windows that makes it easier to find a replacement. You should be able to find at least 3 different places over the phone before actually driving out to get it.
A couple of my friends got their rides broken into around san juaquin county, and the thief even used electrical tape to prevent the wires he cut from shorting out - caring, huh.
but by the same token, you're just asking for trouble if you have a modified car and you park it outside all the time...you're just asking for trouble then

Its just my unlucky day....i usually have it in my garage, but since the last few days i have to parked outside.....and i was gonna put a security alarm in the car this weekend too.....its too late now
Dealership sold us a driverside rear window for $58 and we DIYed it. Not too hard if you're two working on it. Just need 2 long nose pliers, + and - screwdriver, and some band-aids for a few cuts you could get. Just make sure you also rugby the window lift "rail" to the bottom of the glass. Let it sit for a week--that's what we did. After that it's all good. I'd get an alarm too if I were in your shoes. Or start loving snakes and put one inside your car everynight.
Em, do you know where I can get that two-way alarm?
if you wanna pay for shipping...i'm parting out my '93 cammer and i might be able to let go of my passenger window...is it the front passenger window...and is it power or manual? pm me if you are interested

be resourceful, in the days before the internet the best way to find stuff out was with the phone book. It is still indispensible for finding salvaged auto parts. The best thing about auto glass is, except for the windshield which gets pitted, auto glass is usually either perfect or a total goner. Get as many quotes over the phone as you can and go to the cheapest place.
i remember going to this junkyard place on kings row (a street filled only with junkyards, in a neighborhood filled with them) in san jose to get parts for my old honda, this one place had a bathroom that looked like that bathroom from the movie desperado - nasty
My car isn't that cool, and I make sure I park that bitch inside all the time. Even if I'm only home for a min. Check out a salvage yard to see if you can get one there. Make sure you get quotes from a few places because prices can differ ridiculously.
