I was thinking about doing the same thing. I was gonna use these vinyl type material that my sticker maker uses. Haven't got the time to do it as yet. Soo much to do, soo little time.
If it was within an 1/2 inch or so of the bulb itself it would get really hot, but no it dosn't even get warm

Thats what I used, I actually worked out a contingecy sponcership with them for all my Vinyl work I will be doing.
no it wont fall off vinyl doesnt come easy after they have been on ur headlights for a while mine is almost half way on the headlights it gets hot but not enough to come off by its self you should try it ur self u will like it this is how mine are
