Turbo camry?????

I am plannin to change car, I checked that the new Scion tc is so damn nice, but too bad that they dun sell in Canada, not in the near future.......so yea, i found out that they use the same engine as the new camry 4cyc, just wondering if the tc turbo kit would fit the new camry???coz that turbo kit pumps out 3xxwhp...........so crazy.....gonna be a damn good sleeper...........

here is a site on the tc turbo
http://www.tctunerz.com/content/view/95/2/

are there any company make turbo kit for gen5 4cyc or 6cyc????

lol 3xxwhp? time to wake up if you dont have the lottery's winning ticket realistically, a turbo 4 banger camry will be pushing what a mild v6 n/a will be doing, unless you do major internal work.

now... see that Search thing? there are quite a few turbo/sc options for you 4 banger crew.

I saw that turbo kit too. The engine in the TC is the supposed to be the same 4 cylinder in the gen 5 camry. I remember someone else posting about it. It could be possible to put it on the camry as well. 300 whp is possible out of that engine.

im not doubting 300whp, ripp s/c blows out big numbers, but at what amount of wear and tear onthe engine is what im trying to get out, at thot kind of power without a serious bottom end somethings going to melt at the slightest stuff up.

You are not going to see 300hp on a camry you will see about 190-200 to the wheels if you turbo and intercool it at about 8psi... on a auto tranny...give or take some hp*

and thats is more hp then a "mild v6" thats like you beat hi-out v6's

id consider a mild v6 to be putting 180-200 whp, and a hot one to be doing 240+

although heavier, id still reckon the 6 would be faster...at least a 3VZ with our stupidly flat torque band

Cool

^sales. Nobody ever buys them. (If they would fly off the shelf, we would get more when they do sell them)
Who could blame them? Honda & Altima/Maxima M/T's eat up the entire market for M/T's every year anyways hah.

I consider a typical I/E one around 170fwhp, a mild v6 to put down 180fwhp... A wild one oughta lay down 210.

Wow, we went from a possible turbo gen 5 to other ideas. I thought we were talking about the possibility of a turbo gen 5 putting down 300 fwhp. It looks possible to me.

a 300 fwhp gen 5 would be so redicilous that peoples faces would explode and beg for mercy

but then again, you would hear a lot of "why?"
