Angry Need help w/ glow gauges

hey guys i'm a n00b here.
I went to install some reverse glow gauges on my 95 camry dx.
i took out the tack and the speedo to get to the screws for the fuel & temp. did those too then i put the tach/speedo back in. slide the gauges on. Never took off the needles. but they did more around a bit.
they light up fine but the tach won't move
and neither will the speedo
i believe the other 2 gauges are working fine. i only drove it once and it's sitting at home till i can fix it.
Also the lights on my hvac are not on. I dont remember unpluggin those either.
Can someone help?

Did you tape or glue the new gauge faces to the existing? Make sure the glow face(s) haven't come unstuck & bubbled up - could be rubbing the needle or keeping it from moving freely.

Well i've installed it on my car as well, just tape the faces down with double side tape, and then move the needles around to see if it has any nags and or pauses...if its smooth then it should move, be sure that u screw the tach and speedo on the clauster tightly

the only screw holes are in the temp and fuel gauge.
btw after you slide the needle around did you have to put back on the bottom bar, or did it move by itself?

I dont think anything is catching at all. but i'm going to double check everything out tonight when i get home.
did you guys move your needles freely and not have a problem at all? or did you remove your needles?

i had a problem like this also. except mine never stuck on well with a double sided tape. every single time it kept getting a lil loose then it catches on the needle not causing it to move. if tape doesnt work for u, try glue. juss elmers glue.
and dont remove ur needles and yes it should move freely back to its original position.

No. Try checking your fuses.

i think i made sure to tape well around the needle thing (its hours later and i still cant think what its called...) just make sure the tape doesnt overlap it self. i had a problem with my needle being "sticky" when i first installed my guages, and it was only the tinyest part that was catching.

but super glue worked awesome. they work perfect thankx for the help.
only question i have now is. that my hvac lights dont work. i am wondering if it's just those or the ones behind the glow gauges too.
anyone know where that fuse is for those or what else it could be?
