I'm tryin to get some Falken Koblonz 18 x 8. Anybody think 8 inches might be too wide?

Nope, BlueMeanie and I did it with 17x8's with no rubbing. But the larger tim might make a small difference. But I highly doubt it. You should be fine.

The biggest thing is the tire size that you get. I had a set of 18x9 wheels that had 215/45/tires and I now have a set of 18x7 with 235/45 tires and they rub. But the 17x9s didnt rub.

Depends on the offset of the wheel.

Why do you want 225 on a 6" wide wheel may I ask? Recommended size should be 205/215 not 225.

225 is probably to wide for that rim width. you will have a lot of flexing in turns and premature tire wear. I think EKam is right. 215 would be max safe/practical but 205 would be reccomended. http://members.cardomain.com/mr2bad
