I have a '93 Cam with an aftermarket Black Widow 3 channel alarm/keyless entry. Couple months ago I blew the fuse for my park lights/taillights and after that the park lights/tailights stopped blinking when I arm/disarm the alarm. I have no real knowledge of alarm wiring so I'm asking so that I don't go and mess something up guessing. What could be the possible causes of this?

Did you ever determine what caused the fuse to blow ? Have you checked the connection where they tied into the parking lamps ? If you find that connection you would be able to check to see if the voltage is proper to flash the lamps.

The lights flash becuase they are hooked up to a relay on your alarm system which sends them power to flash. Chances are that there is either something wrong with the alarm or with the wires connected to it.

Thanks. The fuse had blow because a wire was exposed and caused a short. I guess I'll have to check the wires and the alarm. Maybe the relay ain't good no more.

I have done many alarm installs that incorperate the blinkers the wires in the harness do tend to get shorted on "less the quality" installs. Take a look under your dash on the drivers side, if you see spagetti start looking for wires with piches.

^^OK thanks. The challenge is that the person that put it in did a real bad job. I've seen telephone wire looking like it's connected to the alarm somehow.
