yes, a turbocharger is a universal application. its finding all the other parts that are not universal that is the problem. you would be best off going to a shop and seeing how much they could fabricate parts for you, like the exhaust manifold and whatnot. anyway, many people are working on turbocharging their 5sfe's (your engine). a few kits are even out there, one from burien toyota.
also another note- if there are any problems with the car, fix them now, because a turbo will just make them worse.
