Please help me with some 17" tire shopping...

Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of searching here for tires for a while now. i've found lots of useful information to store. But I still can't filter out the ones that I don't need or can't have. Right now I'm looking for some tires that can last me 30k miles or more. I could careless about the traction in snow, rain, nor dry. I'm just looking for the ones with the least treadwear. The ones that i'm looking for are 225 50 17 or 235 45 17 in size. So far I kind of narrowed it down to Bridgestone RE750, Pirelli p7000, Firehawk(something), and the Continental Contitour 94vr tires. I've heard many reviews that these tires will last you the longest but still these are all a bit on the expensive side. Now I know that there are Wanli's and Nankangs and Kuhmo 711s but I also know that these tires are worthless in performance and treadwear. Please help me narrow out some of the tires so i can price shop a bit better. Thank you guys so much in advance.

well, first of all, how wide are the rims that you're looking at?

because either way, you got the tire sizes wrong

if you want 225 wide tires, you'll need 225/45/17, and you want 235 wide tires, you should need 235/40/17

but as said, it depends on the width of your rim...if you want 235 tires, then you'd better have at least 7.5 wide wheels or else its not the best idea

A 215/50/17 h rated tire will typically last longer. Look into Michelins or the the cooper lifeliner touring sle.
