all it does is create positive manifold pressure- exactly what a supercharger does. only difference is instead of using the crank and a pulley, it has its own electric motor to blow a fan to blow air into the engine. i guess it might work a little- i mean 1psi aint gonna hurt ya.
my only concern is when it is off, does it actually restrain airflow? they say its fine at idle, but what if its at WOT?

i just got a reply back to my email to this person.. i dont think they were lying because they didnt claim anything to unbelievable. she said it created boost just under 1 psi, and generally increases power by 5-6%. that comes out to be about a 10HP gain for v6's.. not too bad for 30 bucks if you ask me.

The fan is supposed to only come on at WOT....
That fan is pretty crappy compared to the E-Ram.... The one on ebay is only 150 CFM 8000 rpm. The e-ram produces 750 CFM at 22,000 Rpm...huge difference...and the e-ram claims only 1 psi and 4-6% increase in hp.
That's the clip I saw before!!! That's the one I was talking about.
Yeah.. that thing is loud!! Don't buy that ebay one... it only creates small fragment of what e-ram. And e-ram is the one that creates about 1psi. So I would think the ebay one only creates like .3psi...

i just found out- the E-Ram is 300! that is rediculous for a 4-6% gain.. but listening to that demo video im like whoa! that thing is loud!
Actually, that's not a bad price to pay for a 5% increase...think about a catback system, that can give around 5% increase as well, and it's well over $300. What else could give 5% increase for that price?
I'm not planning on doing any performance mods other than intake and exhaust. Would this be any benefit to me, i mean is it worth it? Also, what kind of negative effect would this have besides bad sound and power drain.

You already have the K/N filter... That's good enough for the intake in my opinion...
Maybe a ram air kit....
I am not really down with those intake kits... Sure it does make cool suck in noise, but it sucks in all the heat from the engine... NOT GOOOD.. Just stick with K/N and filter box. Or make yourself a ram air..

most of the intake kits are ram air, actually all of them.. if you want a CAI you should make it yourself. and to answer your question, yes it would benefit you.
as for the noise being bad, i would say it sounds awesome!
You are talking about these when you say intake kits?
You don't even know the definition of "RAM AIR"!!! RAM AIR means forced induction. It takes advantage of car's air drag! Look at these cars with "RAM AIR" system...
See anything similar?? Yes! The air duct!! You think those ducts are there just for show??? They are actually connected to the air filter box!! Surprise!!!
You are like one of those Honda guys who used to come around Mustang Message board thinking they know about their cars. "Yeah my Coffee can muffler and stickers add 20HP"..
Simple law of physics apply here... colder the air temperature, the denser the oxygen molecules get in the same space.
Yeah, those intake kits suck in more air...BUT they suck in HOT AIR!!! which contains LESSER oxygen molecules!
Ram air system however suck in outside cold air and they are "RAMMED" into the air box in high speed.
Search around the internet, there are tons of self made RAM AIR kits.
