Can the 3S-FE handle this?

Can the 3S-FE handle removing the crankshaft pulley bolt by using a breaker bar and tapping the starter manually? I don't want to destroy the crankshaft or anything.

Does the pulley rotate clockwise? This would mean I'd have to place the breaker bar on the ground with the handle towards the front of the car.

I did my 85 2se and 95 5sfe like that, the bolt loosens easily. A toyota mechanic told me about it. It's better to pull the all the plug wires, or the coil wire, so that it doesn't start up. It turns clockwise (when you face the flywheel) so the bar should face towards the front.
