o2 sensor - p1133

I am helping my friend with his car. Originally when I pulled his check engine light code it was 1135. Simple search revealed that the sensor on the backside of the engine needed to be replaced. I replaced it and cleared the check engine light. It stayed off for a few days.....now this morning it came back on, but now with a code of 1133. I just looked up the code and it means "DTC P0133 Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow (Bank 1 Sensor 1)" -- the sensor was replaced 100 miles ago, what gives?!?! This is a CA car if that makes any difference -- 1999 V6. The sensor on the front of the engine was replaced about 2000 miles ago....does anyone have any input, help, or advice?

the back sensor might be defective. if you still have the receipt return the sensor and get a new one.

to test the heating coil put a voltmeter and check for contiuncy along the white lines comming from the o2 sensor. if there isnt then the sensor heating coil is bad.

I had a very similiar problem, actually happened about 2 days after i put some fuel injector cleaner in my gas tank for cleaning, although im not sure if one had anything to do with the other. On california vehicles the rear o2 sensor is different and its called just an a/f sensor (air fuel). On my 98 camry 5s-fe cali model, the part number was 89467-33011. i dont think its that hard to change, but i had it done at the dealer, ran me !(&#&* $430!!!

it fixed the problem that the check engine light code said, but i havent used fuel injector cleaner since then.
