suspension questions

I ordered some monroe sensatrac. does anyone have them? how do you like them? I was thinking about some eibach springs as well but was told that it would loosen up my suspension becuase those struts were gas filled with a valve

anyone have any input?

are they supposed to be stock equivalent struts? cuz the theory is that if you put a stiff spring like the eibach on a stock type strut, it will cause a bouncy feeling ride because of the lack of damper in the stock strut. thats why they recomend an upgraded strut like the KYB gr2 or the Tokico HP when you go to a stiffer lower spring.

that's a tough call. IMO, i would have to place it as a high end stock equivalent. might work ok with the eibachs, but i would expect at least a slightly more bouncey ride than if you went with the KYBs or the Tokicos. however, the one thing to consider is that the higher performance struts are going to give a rougher feeling ride, while providing the handling performance that the stock struts just cant deliver.

gothca, well i'm not 100% sure what i'm going to do yet. I got the rears for $107 and the fronts for $130 so i really couldn't pass it up. i have to find out where i can get stock springs from as well cuz they are worn out. I found some eibach for $230 on ebay but am not sure if they are cheaper anywhere else

ebay is your best bet for eibach springs, but if you are patient you can get them for like 180 plus shipping. also, if you're mechanically inclined at all, it's a real money saver to do the install yourself. i'll be willing to help you out with any questions you have, since i just did my suspension recently.
