One night I left my lights on and when I came to remote start/disarm/unlock the car, nothing would happen, however it would act really weird, by unlocking one side at a time or something.
Anyway the problem was fixed by getting a boost (I had then realized that I left my lights on overnight). Camrys will turn the lights off when the ignition is turned off... but I didn't TURN THE IGNITION OFF... I had it in "pitstop mode" where I can leave the engine running and take the keys out, but then I decided not to come back to the car and shut off the engine with the remote. But this isn't the same as turning the ignition off and my headlights were left on, which is what drained the battery.
Check to see if your battery is weak. Try charging it up or something and see if that fixes the problem. If noth, then your alarm should have a lifetime warranty (as most aftermarket alarms do) but I'm not sure about factory alarms and their warranties.

My girlfriend and I recently bought a 1997 Camry V-6 with the factory alarm. About a week ago, the standard chirp and double chirp confirming lock and unlock was replaced by either a faint chirp or no chirp at all. Also, with the driver's door open, when starting the car, the alarm repeatedly locks and unlocks the doors. We also believe it has unlocked itself overnight. This malfunctioning was preceded by a torrential downpour which we figured could have gotten something wet. The local Toyota dealer suggested this same thought, or that the battery might be low. I couldn't see how the alarm module could have gotten wet being under the driver's seat. I also had the battery checked and was told it was fine. I thoroughly cleaned all of the battery connections. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their alarm? If so, what was the problem and how was it corrected? Thanks for any suggestions!
