Make sure you removed all the screws and I think you have to remove the power window panel and door handl trim as well(had to remove them on my gen4)

After you have done that you need to pull the bottom of the panel to unhook it from any snap in clips that might be holding it there. You then roll down the window and pull up on the entire do panel.

There might also be an anchow screw on the sideedge of the door.

Lay on the ground and look up. Pull some screws. That black plastic piece up by the side mirrors. Pop them out. Pull some screws. Pop out the plastic piece behind the inside door handle. Pull some screws. When you can't see any more screws...

Lay on the ground, Part the panel from the door with a screw driver. Stick your hand in there and yank that thang out. You will hear the plastic clips poping. Don't worry, they won't break. Don't try to pull the panel all the way off though.

Reach your hand up in there and disconnect the power lock. Then proceed to lift up and pull completely off. Have fun.

Nope. You don't have to wind down the window. Look over by the door hinges. Pop off them plastic circles. There should be some screws under those too.
