bubbles in oil?

I did an oil change in my 3S-FE from synth-blend back to dino oil and the oil on the dipstick has bubbles in it. I am assuming this is because of the detergants left behind from the synth-blend oil i used previously.

Also, there seems to be an oil leak around the seal of the oil-pan. I am assuming this is because I fed the car synth-blend and it cleaned out some of the crap that was sealing the pan.

This is all assumption and I need verification for peace-of-mind.

FYI: already did a search.

almost all oils-syn or dino have detergents now. Oil can bubble if there was too much oil in the engine.as the crankshaft spins it can hit the oil in the pan and churn it up.Or you could have a coolant leak and it's getting onto the oil.either way-not good. you will not be getting proper lubrication...

i have heard of this happening when the oil is overfilled as MR2BAD has already mentioned. also if you have your oil changed by a shop then they somtimes overfill by a half a quart or so.

its also true that using synthetic can find leaks that conventional oil would not. but you already knew that
